Converting Figma Design to Framer Template (Part 1)

In my opinion, Framer is still a work in progress. I experimented with it, completed a website design, but when I delved into implementing the logic, the experience was quite challenging. While I appreciate the ability to incorporate code components and leverage the Framer Motion library for improved animations, the tool's capabilities remain rather restricted. Ultimately, I opted to personally code my website instead of seeking out alternative solutions.

I completely relate with that. What's fascinating to me are all the fanboy youtubers of framer hyping it up without telling us about the tons of limitations.

@@AMDesignAndDev Literally. That’s exactly why I believed it was an actual viable tool. I want to use webflow because of its easy-to-use cms for my clients, but it seems much more complicated than coding.

Framer needs to step up, especially after the demo of Wix Studio I just saw ( lots of top notch features )

Just wanted to develop my portfolio website from figma to framer but it's quiet stressing, because i need to do everything from start again, framer plugin doesn't even do well here, everthing we have to do manually. as a designer it's a double work.

It does do well if you have done your FIgma well using autolayout.

Hi Asaad do you think its good to invest learning in Framer or Webflow? I want to expand on my knowledge of designing and creating websites and I am wondering what your thoughts are for which is a better tool to learn and specialize?

Both, but you can start with framer.

If it's not ready enough, don't release that functionalities, please Framer, please. 'Cause then, you have clients asking you to use that "technology" 'cause they don't want to hire a front-end dev and it's a huge headache.. Thanks for that video.

Figma is what you keep on using. Framer is just a no code website publishing tool.
