OK, quite nice job, but now you are missing the 2 seconds stop of the second hand on the full minute.

Yes, I did look into that and contacted Mobatime to see what the options are, but it requires a dedicated network time controller that costs nearly £1,000. So I was happy to forego that. On the proper station clocks the minute hand stays on the minute mark until the second hand gets to 12 (I think it takes 58 secs for that revolution) then the minute and second hands jump together. On this movement the minute hand moves fractionally every 10 secs.

How did you fit the second hand? I just obtained a pressfit sweeping movement, but the center pin to fit the second hand is thicker than the Mondaine original. Drill this too?

Which movement did you use? I don't remember having to drill the hands for them to fit. But if you need to then yes sounds like you may need to drill.

Still a good video for upgrades, but apparently Mondaine changed the moment in 2021 to a sweeping hand from the factory.

Is the new sweeping hand that Mondaine put out still quartz movement? In other words, is it as accurate as a traditional quartz movement?
