James Ladd. Where I work we have similar gearboxes. What is an easy way to install. I’m the real world they just don’t slide back on.

@@miker8623putting a bold with a big washer in the ax. And same principle as in video. And please use a lot of grease. It will help next time.

What are the dimensions of the screws you used in this ocassion?, by the way it looks in the video, plate thicknness is around ½ in. Also, if possible, do you remember what kind of style of screw is, standard, extra fine, etc?

The screw is from a puller set, i believe it was 1/2 fine thread. 12” long

Is this way having bad impact on hollow shaft bearings? I think this gearbox should be overhauled after dismounting this way

We have had no issues with gear boxes removed this way.

Why not use an impact instead of a ratchet??? It’s wat I use cuz it works faster and less work lol

With the impact I would worry about damaging the shaft or the gearbox. Removing it by hand allows you to feel when something goes wrong, and lowers the chance of mushrooming the shaft. Thanks for watching and have a great one
