​@@shlokshah5379Console is goof if you have Family members to play 2 player games at the cost of the console being 450$ not 1k or 2k for 2 gaming setup And I heard PS5 exclusive supports more the (single player gameplay) (and doesn't have backwards compatibility) While Xbox has Halo and Gears Of War (Supports backwards compatibility----Games from the past supported 2-4 player way more than this new generation of games) I only play 2 player games with my brother now and in very few occasions we play with extras people some games If you have a friend or sibling that Would play games with you for Very Very long periods of time (I reccomend you to play Halo: Master Chief, its on PC--- fun as heck.. I haven't tried Halo's campaign playing single player but with someone you get along with is a lot of fun, however, the multiplayer is kinda your opinion if you like it or not.. I am not that good at shooting for now... Halo: Masterchief Collection is only 10$ when it is on sale (If interested, You could use a steam notification) I think the normal price is 39.99$(Still worth it) but on sale is much better

As a parent of four (3 boys), and computer technician myself, going back to the 80's, I can tell you there is one GREAT thing about consoles - little maintenance or ability for the child to screw the thing up.

True, it is very easy for a kid to get a computer virus from all the ads while you’d have to get hacked or mess up the internals to do big damage on a console.

But this brings another disadvantage which is actual maintenance. consoles are super safe and basically impossible to get hacked unless ur the one doing the exploiting yourself and it's hard to mess up the machinery after looking at some dumb diy tiktok. But becoz of this, its hard to maintain the internal machinery of a console and on top of that, if anything other than ssd is screwed, it's very hard to fix it urself. Meanwhile for a pc you can replace just about anything. PCs are just much easier to work with.

Laptops are actually really great gaming machines nowadays, ever since Asus solved the cooling problem back in 2021 and then everyone followed their example. AMD gets credit too, because it was only possible due to their focus on lower TDP chips that still packed high performance. RDNA 2.0 (Big Navi) was revolutionary for SFF applications. That being said though, a full size desktop will still always be cheaper (as long as you already have peripherals) and more powerful.

I just built a 1080p rig for $100. There are still lots you guys don't get lol Yeah, it runs Medium/Low settings (High on older games) but a used One S for the same price will still perform worse and is now a dated console you have to pay subscription services to use. A $100 PC can still play whatever it's capable of playing, no matter how new or old. Also, Steam sales/bundle sales and free online play.

I think your discounting consoles a bit too much since they definately have their place in the market. Not everyone wants to build a pc, no matter how good it is for them. A playstation, xbox, nintendo switch, steam deck, and all of the other older consoles, at the end of the day are exactly like prebuilts, except, they're for people who only have an interest in playing games. Not to mention the insane price to performance due to mass manufacturing, and as much as ubisoft tries to convince you otherwise, actually owning your games is nice too.

I don't have access to a TV to play games on anymore so PC has been my go-to since I'm playing on a monitor anyway, but if I still had access to a TV I would be wanting a proper console to play on. In my experience it's pretty hit or miss what PC games play nice with a TV, vsync issues, input lag, resolution issues, ect. Not to mention still needing a keyboard and mouse on hand to interact with anything outside of the game, or for some games they're required for the game itself. Sure there's stuff like Steam Big Picture or LaunchBox, but they have their own issues and limitations and set up time that prevents it from ever truly feeling like you can get a console style experience out of a PC connected to a TV. PC gives you a lot more freedom in a lot of ways, but consoles definitely still have their place, and that place in under the TV. Sometimes you just want a simpler experience where all you have to do is turn on you TV and start a game where the biggest technical issue you need to sort out is downloading an update
