I notice the 3M headphones! I love those things! Nothing better than running the open station Oliver with some country music playin' eh! Good to see another younger fella concerned about their hearing like I am. I use ear plugs or muffs all the time, whether I'm running wood splitter, chainsaws, tractor, guns, etc. No need to be the "tough guy" who will eventually be the nearly deaf guy.

Paula Readman that is awesome! I live in Oregon and I agree with you 100%. this is so interesting. No one really stops to think of the farmer when they are opening the can of beans or corn to prepare for supper. I find our younger generation (Some of them) are not very appreciative of what they have. They take it for granted. Then there are the few that are taking steps to make food sources better for our health. I see so much drama and hate on Social Media it’s disheartening. Guys like Cole and his family make me proud to be an American.

Excellent editing and overall high quality production Cole ! I am amazed at the amount of diversity in farming that until I started watching your vids I had no idea the many hats that farmers ware. As a kid I was raised on a small horse farm and that kept me busy as I got old enough to handle the chores. BTW I sure did relate to that can of starter fluid ! I still use that stuff on my tractor, lawn mowers and car for a quick start first pull start. All my diesel cars from 1970 until 2010 I had installed block heaters for a quick start in the winter. They really make a difference when the temp dips down. And if I leave the heater plugged in in the summer I don't have to glow the plugs either. Well I do go on but you are awesome and have and continue to provide a great entertainment brand that is unique and fun ! Thank you for all you do ! Best always !

Not a farmer but grew up at the edge of the farmlands and my cousin is a grain farmer (soybean, barley, wheat and also some canola). Enjoy the videos Cole and the way you have such a solid grasp of all the in's and out's. Makes my wonder ... do city folks actually have any idea the sheer magnitude of the resources expended and work needed just so they can have a Pastrami and Rye and a skinny soy Latte. I don't think so. My youngest is also 2 and in hospitality and has a similar solid grasp of the in's and out's there and we always share stories of how entitled some folks can be. Anyway I still live in a town (definitely not a city person) at the edge of the farmlands and we watch the seasons change in fields of soy and canola and I never take my plate of food for granted always giving proper thanks. Much appreciation Cole.

To fix the auger you could get 2 pieces of steel tubing, one slightly larger than the tube the augers in and, the other the same size. That way you can use the slightly larger tube to create a sleeve to slide your extension tube in, making the cage fit without shortening your auger. Obviously it will take a bit of welding but, no biggie.

Ever thought of getting a farm bike (motorbike) cheaper to run than driving the Chevy backwards and forwards to load the truck up. You should look into quickbooks by intuit for your books if you haven’t already. Would really help you out a lot more than just an excel sheet!... but still learn excel. That program will help you forever. Enjoy your channel man!

What kinds of beans do you grow? What kinds of corn do you grow? Is that the only things you produce? Where does your produce go when you ship it out? Farming has always been so fascinating to me, but also overwhelming if it's more than just my vegetable patch in my back yard. Thanks for sharing your life with us!

The local banker wouldn't finance 300K for a motel, we told him not to worry about it we would just keep enjoying the motel life in Leon IA. Yep south central, 12 miles north of Missouri.

@james ord @Cole The Cornstar Thumbs down are probably for the bankers who create money out of thin air, so they can sit in their easy chairs collecting interest off the sweat of your brow. Too many city boys and country boys have more in common getting in over their heads borrowing money. Save and pay cash! www.agriculture.com/news/business/farm-foreclosures-seen-for-next-5-years-bankers-say

@@timbuck2505 Okay. Give me the cash and i will use it. Operating cost never goes down, only up. Takes money to make money and sometimes lose money. No rich grandpa here, or oil rig in backyard.
