Convoy C8+ SFT-25R 8A Buck Driver vs M21A SFT40 6A, C8+ Culpm1.tg

I have thoroughly tested the SFT-25R in C8 host, it is capable of over 250,000 candela! I have also tested in M1, S2+ and S8 hosts. Tested M1 at about 115,000cd, S2+ 32,800 cd, S8 43,000cd. In terms of throw, it outperforms the W5050SQ3 and Yinding 5050 glass emitters I've tested. Its a great performer!

I have both leds. W5050 on 3v 5a is 30% less bright than sft25r on 3v 8a with similar hotspot size. Using 8a driver on W5050 doesn't give you much more throw

Hello, I just got an m1 with the same setup (SFT 25R 8A Buck). I'm not sure if you mentioned it in the video, but I was wondering if you noticed a slight delay when turning the light on. I have many convoys, but this is the first time experiencing a delay. It's only like a few milliseconds but noticeable compared to my other lights.

For the SFT-25R, what colour temp was it in this video (since you mentioned the 5000K might be better). Also, I don't fully understand the glue part at the end. Does this mean if we select a C8+ with SFT-25R off the convoy site now something is glued? Also does that mean we can't replace the glass lens if it gets scratched/cracked by unscrewing the bezel?

Hello sir. I will try to explain this. The crown is glued because according to what Simon told me, C8+ with SFT-25R is not easy to get round perfect hotspot. If you remove the crown and the reflector and put them in again, you might not get perfect round hotspot. That's why the crown is glued. But actually you can remove it sir. I have a flashlight called Ekoras which is the same host has M21A. It has perfect round hotspot. Its head is glued to prevent removing the crown, the reflector which may affect the shape of the hotspot. Thank you very much for your support sir 😊. Please subscribe 🙏.

@@risingawareness13 in terms of efficiency, I find it more efficient than the SFT40 in longer ranges due to the tighter beam(also its very distinct round beam, very clean) which you can operate on lower modes but still reach further distance than the sft40 On the other hand. SFT40 in S6 is much more practical for shorter range because of the larger hotspot it provides and less intense which makes it more pleasant in the eyes than the SFT-25R. It also has a brighter spill. I also find the SFT40 hotter when both LED is run at 8amps. Overall I very much prefer the SFT-25R for the S6 host than the SFT40 since it's a thrower host and I have other lights to accompany my SFT-25R for close range activities.
