As for as battery drain from the lighted switches, just do a mechanical lock out when the light is in storage. Also be aware some Convoy models have reverse threads on the retaining ring - such as the S2+. Really simple install to add some character to your lights. 👍🤘

I was wondering why I saw others having or mentioning the reverse threads when all of my convoys/pioneman are regular threads. I have the convoy L21A, L21B, M21C, and M21B in both black and mao finish and I also have the pioneman u10 which are all regular threads and the convoy light up switches works in the pioneman too. My other convoys are all side switches so I was thinking maybe if I desolder the spring I’d be able to use one of the boards with leds to install on the side switches but I forgot those use the ramping driver so I don’t think that board would work, maybe it would work but it would have the group modes then instead of ramping and I personally prefer the ramping driver over groups but I could be wrong about how that all works.

@@lumntoob999 The description for 16mm button says: "Notice that it's not compatible with the biscotti firmware." Biscotti is 12 group driver and no glowing button possible?

You're welcome, I just thought it would be cool since you have all of the different colored osrams all in L21Bs. I read that sometimes these light up switches can be very bright and drain the battery somewhat quick but I think it just depends on the driver, I also read it can be dimmed by adding a resistor but that's getting more technical. Something I thought of is these parts should mostly be able to be mixed together so I'm going to use the stainless steel buttons but I'm not going to put in the driver with the leds on them in some of my convoys. I like the look and feel of the stainless buttons but I don't want all of my convoys to have the backlights, I'm just using the backlight ones on my lights that have a colored emitter. Thanks for doing the video, it's nice to have someone else doing a good install video and I got a better look at the rgb lights, they do look really cool I like the way they fade between colors instead of just switching plainly like I thought they did.

Just commented this over on the short for these but I wanted to post this info here for others. The stainless steel version of these switches stick up higher and the flashlights won't tail stand anymore, I tested it on convoy L21B, M21C, M21B, and the pioneman U10 and they all have the same issue. Also the stainless steel version has less button travel than the rubber and it makes the button much more sensitive when switching through modes, if I'm not very careful I could skip over modes. I even have it skip from strobe all the way through the level 2-3, that's up to four mode skips with just one half click attempt. I don't think it's a fluke either because all of the lights I put these in will skip modes like that, like I said if I'm very careful I could get it to go through each mode or at worst only skip over one mode but it's tricky. I love the way the stainless steel looks but I repurchased all of the switches with the clear rubber caps, the loss of the ability to tail stand was a deal breaker enough

I used to but I had the wurkkos wk30 I believe and I left the battery in all the time without using it and one day I went to use it and the battery was dead and leaked this orange liquid out, so I basically don't leave batteries in my lights.
