Conway's Law and its Emphasis on Communication in Software Development

Melvin Conway postulated that if there is a lack of communication in the software development process, the final product will look similar to the organizational structure of the developers. Agile emphasizes strong communication during development, but if this is not followed you fall prey to what later became known as Conway's Law.
