While on my New England Trip at the beginning of October, I not only took the time to ride aboard the Conway Scenic Railroad's 'Mountaineer' excursion, I found time to grab a couple of the more well known shots of the train.
The first scene is the train as it exits the Crawford Notch headed northbound, and soon to arrive at the Crawford's Station. The second scene is arguably one of the most well known photo locations in New England in the fall; the Willey Brook Bridge. It took nearly 2 hours to hike into this spot, but my gosh was it worth it, as we watch the former Maine Central GP35 lead the train back south, with a former C&O GP9 trailing; now painted in a NYC inspired scheme (from the Finger Lakes Railway).
Hope Everyone Enjoys!
