Conwy to Betws y Coed | Royal Enfield Scram | River Deep Mountain High

Wales is such a perfect country for riding and exploring. More memories brought back here spanning almost 60 years as Diane and I were up in the Conwy valley in June of '68 from Portsmouth - she on her 250 Honda and I was on the 350 Norton. Since then I've had a number of visits - always wonderful. Beeline did brilliantly to find that lane - nudging an 8 I'd say 😂. As you say "Splendiferous". Those views of Conwy Castle and the estuary take your breath away don't they. Many, many thanks, Dave. I'll share this with friends who also know the Conwy Valley. 👍

It’s great to hear these rides bring back memories of times gone by. Yes on this occasion Beeline did a sterling job. Conwy castle was a real treat, when planning the route I hadn’t realised I was going g to be passing by it. Next weeks video will be a ride of Bwlch y Groes and then the Elqn Valley series will be coming in the new year. Thank you for your positivity and encouragement and for sharing the video 😀😀

Apologies for butting in here Dave and Michael but I noticed you're in Llanbedr. A beautiful area which during the 80s we cycled much of after coming across Kilverts Diary where he talks fondly of his time as curate in Clyro. Peter

Thanks Mike, I planned this route to try and stay as close to the river as possible. The narrow lane was a real treat, with views of the estuary coming in and out of view. Next weeks video will be Bwlch y Groes, with the 2024 Wales rides culminating in a short series of videos exploring Elan Valley 😀👍🏻

Lovely Vid, meandering through obscure places, however, Llandudno (which is South of Betws) is NOT featured in your vid, you came from the North, from Conwi. No matter, you were not following a map, and you did not know where you were??? (except Betws).

Hello, thanks for watching and leaving a comment 😀👍🏻 this was the third video of a days riding. Part 1 was the ride up to Llandudno via Blaenau Ffestiniog and Betws y Coed, part 2 video was a ride of the Great Orme and this video (part 3) opens as I’m leaving West of Llandudno and heading to Conwy and attempting to stay as close the the Western bank of the River Conwy as I could.
