Coober Pedy: Opal Mines and Stories of Resilience

Coober Pedy is also known as the Opal Capital of the World. Most of the world’s opal comes from this tiny Outback town and is located in the harsh outback of South Australia. The town is 845kms north of Adelaide and 685 kms south of Alice Springs along the Stuart Highway. About 95% of the world's precious opals come from Australia. And 85% of them are found right here in the 70 opal fields in the region. But it’s not only famous for opals, but also for its unique accommodation, and legendary stories of courage and endurance.
This program tells the story of Opal mining in the outback town of Coober Pedy and one man, “Iron Man” Jim Shaw who in 1920 pushed a loaded wheelbarrow across the desert in the height of summer from Tarcoola to the opal fields and became a legend of the outback.

If I had to live in a place where the temperature is 122 degrees outside, I would go underground too. But better still, I'd get away from there ASAP! I had no idea that opals came in so many colors. That place looks worse than the wilderness of Judea. But I have a question about the underground houses. How do the drains drain?

Matthew gospel in 13 verse 44 is speaking about God's commandments, they are the treasure you bury into your heart and that is how you are able to come to covenant and find God. The worlds religions have convinced all of you that your either not God's people so you don't have to obey or that God doesn't want you to obey but this is far from true. Matthew gospel is the only words Joshua the teacher of God left for us, the name matthew means a gift from God. Matthew 5,7,18 and 19 show anyone who teaches against the Ten Holy Eternal Commandments is of the Satan. The jesus is the name and image the beast made up for mankind to worship instead of God, the name and image of the beast teaches the opposite of what the matthew gospel teacher taught and it caused all of you to leave God for some idol whose name is jesus and image is the cross. The books added after matthew are of the satan and convey the mark of that beast which is to not keep the commandments of God, of God's covenant. You all , every religion teaches against mankind keeping God's laws, all Ten, they rob you of at least one and when you disobey one its as if you break them all. You cannot pretend to obey in some crazy way that says you obey but for example you don't even keep GOD'S SABBATH. Go back and see that after the supposed cross the satan changed everything to be opposed to God.
