RIP, Jerry Jeff. You were indeed, contrary to ordinary. And we won't be sending the preacher down to tighten up the past

Still my favorite Jerry Jeff song. His band is absolutely phenomenal on this cut. Thank you.

I learned to drive a 68 GMC pickup with this tape in the 8-track! I can almost smell the gasoline over Dad's cigar. Lovin' it!

Muchisimas gracias for posting this! Always loved this album & this cut in particular. Seems to be the ultimate JJW biographical song, even though he didn't write it.

Have the tape in the pickup, listened to it on the way from Grand Forks to Bismarck last night, a great album. Reunion is an album that is one of my favorites as well.

why is this song or I believe the album not availible on Spotify
@scottsegraves28769 жыл бұрын
No idea, since I don't do Spotify. It and a lot of other Jerry Jeff prime but not widely known material has only become available digitally in the past 3 or 4 years.

Jerry Jeff, a natural, unmatched, phenomenal talent. We should be thankful that we got to experience his wonder! There will never be another one like him… I loved him and miss him terribly.

Oops! Hadn't heard about that. Now I feel doubly bad -- second, for thinking bad things about the powers that be for (I thought) suppressing a nice album, and first, because the thing got lost.
