I don’t know about you but I’ve been really getting into cooking recently. Another positive thing I’ve found during all this time spent at home.
So like I mentioned Poppy’s mum and dad kindly bought me a Wok for Christmas and I wanted to film this video taking you through the process of seasoning it and cooking my first dish with it 🙌
I think you can tell I was pretty happy with myself by the end haha

Hey Sean, Google "Char Kway Teow" - a kind of Chinese noodle stir fry with dark sauce - and make that in your new wok. It's epic. And if you do it right, you'll get that additional layer of "burnt wok" or "wok hey" flavour in your kway teow. Good luck!

Loved the vid, specially the good vibes. Suggestion - you can make yu xiang qiezi - eggplants with fish fragrance (it only sounds terrible I promise) - it's my fave dish from Chinese cuisine. And suitable for Poppy since it's pescatarian dish. Also you can give a tudou si a go.

Ideas: I guess anything that you can cook with the wok would be Interesting to watch, I love watching those street cooking videos from Thailand , it’s relaxing ,and fun to watch how they do it so fast. Try making those huge NY style cookies, fried rice with eggs using the wok, a tiktok recipe idea, there’s some good creative ones where you can tell the person who came up with them was probably high and supper hungry and when they made them. (on the channel “Barry Lewis”he tries these kind of recipes, u can find many in his playlist for ideas. Good luck

I didn’t know that we are supposed to scrub all pans with metal scrubbers cuz the put antitrust on them. when I heated my stainless steal pan with water, it kept having this coated metallic debris in the water, so I gave up on it cause I was too anxious to cook with it. I’ll scrub it again with the type of scrubber that you used and hope it does the trick. Please link the site about what to do before using the Wok. This was a Very informative and enjoyable video. I loved seeing how the cooking was making you excited , made me smile the whole time; )
