#PrawnPepperFry is an excellent spicy side which goes well with rice and also can be had as an appetizer. It can be prepared in many methods like Kerala style, Chinese style, Chettinad style etc., here we tried Tamil Nadu style recipe.

Prawn Pepper Fry Recipe
Dry Roast and Grind:
Cumin Seeds - ½ tsp
Coriander Seeds - ½ tsp
Black Peppercorns - 1 ½ tsp
Fennel Seeds - ¼ tsp
Other Ingredients:
Prawns (deshelled and deveined) - 250 grams
Small Onion (shallots) - 10 nos
Curry Leaves - 10 nos
Garlic - 5 Cloves
Ginger - ½ inch
Coconut Oil - 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Garam Masala - ¼ tsp
Red chilli powder - ½ tsp
Salt - ½ tsp
Cooking Instructions:
- Cook the prawns until it is half cooked on a pan with turmeric powder and 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- Dry roast and grind into a fine powder, the ingredients under dry roast and grind.
- In a pan add 1 tbsp of coconut oil. Add shallots and finely chopped ginger and garlic. Cook until everything turns golden brown.
- Add the half-cooked prawns, toss in the ground spices, red chilli powder, garam masala, salt, curry leaves and mix well until raw smell from Masala has gone.
- Serve hot as an appetizer.
