No. While it was recovered out of bounds, that makes it a touchback and the Colts should have the ball at the Colts 20 due to the panthers fumbling it through the colts end zone. Instead possession was given to the Panthers at the Panthers 20. So yes that is a glitch.

That could also count as illegal batting if it was recovered out of bounds since he technically forced it out of the end zone.

It’s the same as fumbling out of the opposing end zone, and you’re supposed to get the ball on your own 20 with possession if that happens- a touchback. Think about it; I would just heave the ball through the side of your end zone and get a new set of downs whenever I felt like it.
