Dear Nocolas few small tips for backing your cookies 💚 a.When you like to have real cookies out of this mixture and not scones like taste😉you need to use smaller portion of the dough for each cookie. You need to use two spoons one to load a small portion of the dough and slide it on to the tray withe the other spoon. This will give you smaller portions that will turn up as more crispy cookies 🙃 B.when you like to flatten the cookies with a base of a glass ...oile the base of the glass first and that will prevent it from sticking to the fresh dough.💛🧡Best of luck with your new apartment hunting..

A cooking video for “home cooks” ! Rarely do recipes turn out looking like the beautiful pic in the book.. so it’s the taste that matters most. A couple of tips. Dip the base of the glass in a saucer of oil for each cookie and pleeease use a wooden spoon when you mix in your crystal bowl. 😊

Hi Nicholas, I’m Cotswolds born and bred and it’s interesting to hear you talk about your experiences there. Yes Blockley is quiet ( my Father in Law was born in the village ) and the whole of the area was like that until the folks from London came down and bought up properties in the surrounding villages, ripping the heart out of them. Now during the week I’m passing ‘ The old Vicarage / School / Post Office and there is nobody around these once tranquil places. Not everything changes for the better, and I speak as someone who has lived here for more than fifty years. Apart from that, I love all your content.

I’m in southern coastal Alabama in the US. It is almost September and we are having a horror show of Covid cases. A lot of hospitals are close to full, especially in the southeastern US. This recipe looks wonderful! My 40 something son loves lemon and doesn’t like crunchy cookies so these look perfect for him. I will leave the nuts off. I have throughly enjoyed your videos! You are a gorgeous young man and I loved watching your skin care routine in an earlier video. It’s great to see a man take good care of himself. I have learned so much from you and enjoyed every minute. I have much more of a “helter skelter” sort of personality and you are very soothing. So very glad you had a break last week. Those cookies do look delicious. I will make them next week but right now it's 37C (98F), with high humidity, and even with air conditioning, it's much too hot. So glad the present weather in Edinburgh is nice. I too always leave out an ingredient or add something out of order, if talking, while trying to prepare anything for baking. The very best to you with your move. Thank you for having this lovely relaxing chat with us while baking the cookies. They look magnificent. Some cookie recipes do have softer texture and soft like cake, similar to the Madeleine French Cookies. I will be so happy to see your place and all of your decorating plans when you do move. Canada where I am is still in basic lockdown, with some freedoms, but very limited on the numbers in stores, restaurants and all personal services. No travel to UK, which I have been waiting for since my last trip over a year ago, but your government is not allowing Canada to come with out the quarantine in place, yet US and some of Europe are free to do so. Just waiting until our restriction is lifted and off I go to London. I do so love the Cotswolds too and have spent many a day trip from London enjoying that area. Our weather has gone cool from extreme heat, so happy that you have had some decent weather for your to enjoy. Happy to hear also that your candle is coming along. I love your whole aesthetic! I'm from Canada but have visited London 4 times and once the english countryside and I absolutely love it! Loved just hanging out cooking and chatting…felt like we were absolutely together! In my dream world, we would be wonderful friends and hang out together all the time. We did have a trip planned to come to Scotland to a little town called Dollar, my grandmother was born there. Because of COVID, it has been delayed until 2022 summer/fall. Until then, love from Florida USA… good luck with moving house and finding the perfect flat. ❤️🇺🇸

Loved having you back. Glad you enjoyed your holiday. I live in a Atlanta, Ga and have been to a resort in North Carolina, to my home town in Tennessee to visit friends and my 85 year old fabulous aunt, then to Indiana to visit my brother and his family. Always love seeing my nieces and great nieces and nephews. I brought my 11 year old great nephew home with me and spoiled him with wonderful things to do in Atlanta. His mom, dad and twin sisters came in for a long weekend to pick him up. Was so great to have company after the long year of isolation. I am now on my way to Florida for a week at the beach. At the end of September I’m going to visit my other niece and her husband and kids in Denver, Co. Then renting a car and driving to Taos and Santa Fe, NM for the week. November 11th I have tickets to see The Rolling Stones in Atlanta and for Thanksgiving I’m visiting friends in Utah. So, needless to say I’m thrilled to be out again, and although I’m vaccinated I’m masking up again because of the COVID Delta variant threat. One tip for you when flattening your cookies, dip the base of the glass in a little water. It will keep it from sticking to your dough. Good luck getting your new place. Can’t wait to see it.

Greetings! - The peonies are spectacular! - Always my absolute favorite flower - red, pink, and white, and the fragrance - intoxicating! - Unfortunately can't grow them here in the Arizona desert where I live now - Whenever I make cookies, or any batter for that matter, I use a table knife to "cut-in" the 'wet" ingredients into the dry to combine the two before I put the mixture under the electric stand mixer - really easy and works great (no build-up of ingredients like when using a spoon) and the flour doesn't go flying when the mixer is turned on - I use the "knife method" with icing and frosting also - Best of luck Nicolas, looking for a new flat and moving -
