I LOVE when Robert brings the breast plate out. It never fails to crack me up while simultaneously reminding me of my late grandmother. She wore those vintage bras so stiff and with the cone cups that’s her tatas literally stood UP and out just like his 😂

24:58 So the reason you marinate the chicken in buttermilk is because the buttermilk has a lot of lactic acid, which tenderizes the chicken. Most fried chicken recipes call for marinating the chicken in buttermilk for this reason, and because the thick buttermilk coats the chicken and makes the flour/breading stick better🤗

I just read the thumbnail and I’m so excited to see this! My best friends owned a bed and breakfast. One of them was a very celebrated chef in Detroit. He was obsessed with the Titanic and every year would host a “Titanic dinner “. You would have to book out a year in advance to get a room and a seat at the table. I would serve and explain wine pairings to the guests and had so much fun doing it! It was located in a quaint Lake Michigan town and I worked at the local salon/spa. It took him and his partner like a week of prep and I would come by after work to help out as well. The dinner itself took hours because there were so many courses. Good luck guys! ❤

Dogs can eat apples. The dachshund I had growing up, named Sunshine, used to go across the street and take the apples off the ground of our neighbor’s yard. She would bring them back to our yard and hold them with her front paws while eating them. She would eat around the core and leave it.

The problem was no salt. Salt brings out all the other flavors, not just its own. Next time you have to use buttermilk, put a tbsp of lemon juice or vinegar in whole milk. It looked like your buttermilk had turned. It's a tenderizer and flavor enhancer. You both are so fun to watch.

Some Asian cuisine uses milk to marinade chicken. I've seen it done in South Korean food, I think Maangchi did it before in one of her videos. There's lactic acid in milk that helps soften and tenderize the meat while also making it juicy. Some even say it helps take away off putting chicken-y smells from the meat.

In America we marinate chicken in buttermilk to tenderize it before frying. It makes a HUGE difference in how tender the meat is. I think it's the acid in the buttermilk that helps to break the chicken down (aka . Tenderize it)

The milk breaks down the chicken fibers, so it's not so tough. If u add vinegar, it becomes very tender. Less cook time. The banana, i have no idea, i am part french, but im not putting banana on my chicken! Buttermilk is what i use always for my fried chicken and my whole family of 6 fight over it. The breading i make for it is apparently the chefs kiss. The buttemilk coated chicken should be dipped in a well spiced batter before frying.😂
