This is a comforting reminder of my modest upbringing. My mom's recipe was to boil it first, dredge in flour and deep fry it then put it on a bed of yams and bake it. Great channel! It's always good to meet good ppl.

So where u get ur raccoon?
@stevethomas5209 Жыл бұрын
I'm serious when I say this were I live you can get it at the drive through. In my small southern town there is a drive through "quick mart" gas station and the locals that work there know people that buy them. You put your name on the list and when a hunter gets one or more they will call you and you can come there or they will bring it to your home. In my case I have friends that squirrel hunt and regularly see racoons and they get them for me. I'ma 63 yo white guy and I love the taste in fact I would rather eat coon than a chicken any day. Hope this helps answer your question.

You have to cut the glands out of the legs or else they are gamey otherwise it is delicious. My grandpa used to make raccoon chili but wouldn't tell anyone what that secret ingredient was.

Hey guys !! Omg I can’t !!! Where did you buy a raccoon???!!! Do a lot of people eat this ? I went to Ghana years ago and ate something called grass cutter . It’s essentially a size of a raccoon and it was delicious! I think it was easier for me to eat as I was so unfamiliar with it . I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago and saw raccoons all the time so I don’t think I Could .. BUT if I was there with you grandpa karma I’d give it a try !
