In this episode, Oscar Nominee and Golden Globe Winner Brad Dourif describes a bland culinary childhood diet until a wonderful cook joined his family and describes the southern cooking at his boarding school. Moving to NYC, he lived on fast food, became a movie actor (and the voice of Chucky!) and has, thanks to his actress daughter, moved on to cooking and eating a splendidly healthy diet. A fascinating conversation with this multitalented actor.

Brad Dourif is just lovely. Enjoyed v much meeting him (& his amazing girlfriend) years ago & chatting "Skyrim", since both he & my husband loved that video game. Love this show!! (& 6 kids??! WOW.)

You should be on Club Random with Bill Maher. He talks about healthy foods and the dangers of bad foods in his discussions.

I also eat all of my protein and side dishes in sync so I finish them at the same time.

Fellow WVian here. I wish Brad had the same food experiences I did growing up. Lots of standard Appalachian food like beans, corn bread, fresh and home-canned foods. My favorite was venison. I've loved his work over the years. He has a way of channeling "creepy" so well. He seems like a very nice guy.

Finally remembered to watch AFTER I've eaten! On the topic of Cajun food: A few weeks ago I found this little place called Lagniappe Bayou Kitchen in TN on the way to visit a friend. Everything made from scratch. Not sure when I'll ever get back that way, but if anyone sees this who's in the area, check them out. The food was great. I'd missed my turn and pulled into their parking lot instead. Happy accidents!
