Philippines fun fact: While Filipino and English are its official languages, over 180 languages are spoken in the Philippines, ranging from Palawano in Palawan or Ati in Panay Filipino cuisine is what you get if Spanish and American cuisine adopted an Asian baby. It's great to see people embrace their heritage. The existence of a culture resides in the hearts and soul of that culture's people. Culture is the widening of the mind and of the spirit. We're all immortal as long as our story is told.

Roni: hand that smells like garlic Aaron the Vampire: *Why do I hear boss music?* Strong garlic makes a great alarm clock...perhaps Roni should do that more often to you! While Filipino tocino is cured and sweetened, Cuban tocino is simply fried until it gets very crunchy and then we make a sandwich with some nice Cuban bread. In Puerto Rico, it's also just fried and then paired with mofongo. It's cool to see similarities and differences between the cuisines of former Spanish colonies. Filipinos really are our brothers from another mother

That food looked so goood! A Filipino client once treated me to Filipino food at a Filipino restaurant a few years ago. Delicious! That lawn mower looks like a good little workout. I agree with Roni that it is very satisfying to see that lawn mower cut the grass. When I was growing up, and went on trips to North Carolina to see my grandparents, I would observe the sometimes long grass on the side of the road, and imagine a lawn mowing machine extended from the side of the car mowing the grass as I rode along in the car.

This is the American version of a Boodle Fight. In the Philippines especially in Panay, there's no plates or utensils and everyone eats on the banana leaves that we slightly char to sanitize and we use our hands. (A personal favorites are Pork Barbecue and Chicken Inasal, Grilled Fish and Seafood and so much rice)
