A bit different to our usual style of video, as bad weather up in Scotland stopped play. You join us on the last day of our November 2023 tour, we unfortunately didn't film much on this trip. This campervan allows us the freedom of travelling in all seasons, we actually do most of our travelling in the Autumn/Winter as I have lupus disease | SLE | We stay on campsites & caravan touring parks, Aires & wild camp out in nature. We like to walk | hike with our cocker spaniel dog "Charlie" taking in breathtaking scenery of the countryside and the coast. There is something so magical about driving through the mountains and tourist areas in a campervan. Buying local produce to take back and cook in the campervan, or stopping at an independent shop for coffee and cake helping to support the local economy. It's mad how you can lose things in a small space, I'm always losing stuff iny tiny camper lol. I love the Mash Direct stuff cos it's gluten free, so great for me. Their beer battered chips are amazing! I have melamine pasta bowls, they're really good.

Absolutely loved your recent vlog! 🚐 I also struggled a bit with finding the right balance of gear this last trip. Overpacking is real! 😅 The stag chili with Mexican rice looked cozy and delicious 🌶🌮. Definitely feel you on the melamine struggle - I’ve had plates crack on me too! @@barbsdee3831 Hi Barbs, glad you enjoyed it 😊 For the van 🚐 we just have a cheap small Tower AF. It’s just big enough for us, for doing certain things in😁 It’s definitely a good addition to the van, especially when on EHU as it saves on your gas useage 🙈 When this one no longer works, I’ll probably get a slightly bigger one for the van & one that is digital ☺️ I have a Ninja dual AF for home, which is brilliant 🤩 Not used my oven hardly since we got it 😂 Thanks so much for watching & the lovely comment. Lovely Jubbly. We’re gonna take rice and pasta and tins to Scotland next week. Great for a quick meal Sue agrees on the melamine - we started off with them and switched to proper plates pretty quick! Safe travels you two.

with a four burner hob & grill, we don't feel the need for cooking "gadgets". As well as a set of cheap, nesting camping saucepans, we have a decent frying pan, a small pressure cooker and my large Ridge Monkey. As for coffee, I'm happy with instant stuff. We've never had any problems with melamine plates and bowls over the last15 years, no matter how hot the food has been, I've even had vindaloos. Where did you stay in Moffat?

Hi Tony 😁 We have the air fryer for when we’re on hook-up to save on the gas, same with the slow cooker 😁 We must have just been unlucky with the melamine cracking 🤷‍♀️ I think on that occasion we stayed at the Moffat ccc as The Green Frog was closed for winter. Thanks for watching, Em 💜

@@vansforthememories I can see your point about saving gas but with the two of us plus two dogs, saving space (and weight) is more important. We also tend to spend about half of the time off hook ups so the electrical gadgets would be of less use to us. . I might change my mind if the gas bottles get harder to find.

@@tonysutton6559 yeah it’s all a balancing act isn’t it 😂 Our gas sized bottle is virtually nonexistent atm, it’s the size calor pulled last year but have now reinstated it, but it’s gonna be a few months before you can get hold of one! We’re touring at the moment & mainly off-grid, so hoping we don’t run out! Up in Braemar atm & it was snowing this morning 🙃😂 Take care Em 💜

Melamine’s crap, I use tough plastic deep plates, cups n bowls microwave and dishwasher safe, light tough and the bottom of the cups don’t fall out if you put boiling water in em lol 😂…. Glad you had a nice chill out folks x 😊❤
