Graham is great, he is so skilled and unlike Gordon Ramsay he is actually a nice person! It is inspired to see how amazing he did on his weight loss journey. He lost like 130 pounds which is absolutely incredible. I love graham, he seems like such a nice guy and his work is very inspiring.

except he isn't a master chef and the fact that he uses that term to refer to himself is offensive to all certified master chefs. if you don't know what a certified master chef is, there is a great video on youtube that you can look up. it is very interesting stuff

just so u know i cook in a 4 star restaurant. we are all far from being master chefs. a master chef is one of the most prestigious achievement a chef could ever make in his life time. there are only 66 master chefs in existence. thats how hard it is. I'm glad for his success in the restaurant industry but he is no master chef. seriously look it up! it is very educational and will put a different perspective on the way you think

I did do my research after reading your post. And I came onto many negative posts about the Master Chef certification.For instance, some say it's driven by money and politics. Also, one author makes a point by saying are the 67 certified masterchefs the best chefs in the world? "Absolutely not". i wouldn't worry about what some ppl say. i would worry about what the leaders of the culinary world have to say about it. bottom line is graham elliot is a talented chef. there are many talented chefs in the world but to say he is a master chef, or to say he knows how to cook like a master chef is absurd and offensive to those who worked their asses off their whole lives to achieve this certification. now how do we tell if he is better or not? we won't. until a master chef decides he wants to take on bobby filet to be the next "iron chef", but unfortunately you won't see this. usually ppl go on these tv shows to make a name for themselves. a master chef doesn't need this, he has already made a name for himself in the culinary world and everybody knows he is the top dog when he enters the room. thank you for showing me that link. he is also my fav chef! he is a bad ass! probably one of the best cooks to ever step foot on this planet. however he wouldn't be able to pass the exam. to his own words "i don't like making pastries. i can't stand sticky fingers" he isn't very good in the pastry department lol. thats why he always has a very talented pastry chef.
