Your bonus tip!! Yes!! Garden!! Side note on it... there are varieties that are specifically bred to be able to to grow in a small space and containers. Always try. Gardening rules are not black and white... you should always try! If you have a patio or a small space that gets good sun then go for it. Nothing compares to fresh picked garden food 😍🙌

I live on Gulf Coast side of Florida and didn’t know any of the reasons behind why shopping seasonally/locally is important, this video was really informative 😊 I’ll have to be more aware, I usually would just go to my local farmers market and buy whatever fruits/veg without thinking (or Whole Foods if I can’t find something) but I’ll have to be more conscious of these things. Also I had no idea about nutritional degradation, but it makes complete sense. Is there a site/reference you use to keep track of what’s going to be seasonal? Thank you, amazing video 😊

Farmer's markets are a great way to ensure that whatever you're buying is local and in season, and in Florida, you probably have access to them a lot of the year, which is awesome! There are some websites that list what is in season and when, but it truly just depends on your area. Anything that is grown close to you is going to be more "seasonal" than anything grown far away, so keeping track of what is growing in your specific area is going to be better than going off of a universal list for seasonal produce. Does that make sense? That being said, The Spruce Eats website does do a great seasonal ingredient guide by region, if you want to check it out! :) www.thespruceeats.com/local-ingredient-guides-4162166
