@MellieIMO5 жыл бұрын

@mariaencarnacion14775 жыл бұрын
It’s because in Tagalog “Karne” is meat. Karne ng Baka is beef. Baboy is pork. So while he introduced it as Pork Belly, Bretmom answered that it was “Karne”. Then she corrected herself briefly that it was “Baboy” which is pork. But then she reverted back to calling the pork belly simply “Karne”. So I think that’s why he had to clarify whether or not it was pork or beef. But Filipino moms mix up words or names all the time, like calling you by your siblings’/cousins’/dads’ accidentally while still looking you dead in the eye. So I think that’s why Bretman was so nonchalant about the mix up. Hope this helps!

The Philippines has been under Spanish occupation before for 300+ years so thats why our culture and language is similar to alot of spanish speaking countries thats why alot of our local and regional dialects have so much Malaysian, English, Chinese, Indonesian, and Spanish words. The nearest to pure spanish spoken here in the Philippines is in Zamboanga which basically uses Spanish/Bastardized Spanish Creole. So yeah in short were the Spain of Asia I guess ✨✨✨
