Today we are going to make Wiggenweld Potion. This is a healing potion with the power to cure injuries, and is also the antidote to Sleeping Draughts including Draught of Living Death. This potion is mentioned in several Harry Potter Vide games and is sometimes portrayed as Purple and sometimes as Green so I made it do both! This will be a great addition to our Potion, Prop Collection we have been making, or an excellent addition to a Cosplay Costume!
The Things you will need:
• I glass Decanter Bottle with glass stopper ( I got mine at Hobby Lobby)
• Rubbing Alcohol (Or Distilled Water and Glycerin; or a drinkable beverage)
• Green Food Coloring
• Black Cording
• Magenta Mica Powder (or edible luster dust for a drinkable version)
• Scissors
• Hot Glue Gun and Hot Glue
• Label Printed on Sticker Paper

You know what would enhance the effect, if you put a stir stick inside at the bottom and put the bottle on a magnet to make it stir.

An make a thin part of paint (black or mirror effect, as you wich), or peraps use some more round of cordes, at the bottom, to make it desapiere visualy from the out side of the bottle. You got a great idear over here guy👌 it can be realy nice.🤔😊

For non-edible bottles, you could try old shimmer eyeshadows if you want to use them up or don’t have the funds for new mica. Just be sure to powder it up very well so that it’s nice & smooth & not clumpy before you add it to the bottle.

Action Lab Shorts, "Don't Shake This Liquid Too Hard" has an interesting 3-colour changing liquid, based in the reaction of glycerin and the dye used with the air caught at the top of the bottle. You might enjoy using it some time.

Tips: Before to stitch the cordes to the bottom of the bottle, you can just add one or tow layers of metalic miror effect opaque nail polish on the externe bottom of the bottle Then stitch it on the cordage like you do. And then, stitch over all a circel of felt fabric of you choise all over the stitching knot at the bottom, to stabilise and ballance all and get a better bottle seat. And the reflexive effect of the polish will increase the potion couleur effect.😉 But you done a realy nice job. Thanks for the vid 👍

There's a mixture that can make the liquid change colors by shaking it. It reacts to the oxygen in the bottle it starts at yellow then depending on how much you shake it turns orange then red then dark red then green. If you use water you should really use distilled water and just a tiny bit of glycerin so that the water doesn’t get yucky overtime. The alcohol stays the same, but the water eventually will get kind of gross if you don’t add the glycerin. It’s the same type of treatment you would use in a snow globe. I hope that helps 😊

Wondering if I put in too much mica powder...mine isn't changing back to green🤪 the colors are amazing though. Yours is perfect!

It’s possible or your mica powder may have had pigment added to it and it colored your base liquid from green.

Loving your videos and am new to this. I see many people using alcohol but others use corn syrup, water, etc. Is there a reason for alcohol? Is that just for color changing ones? The kids and I would love to make a few :D

The alcohol works great for color shift ones, you get better swirls and few bubbles. I’ve also used corn syrup, hair gel, dish soap etc. it just depends on the potion😊
