That is such a great idea. We caught a bunch of grouper a couple weeks ago and we made Maryland "crab cakes" out of the collars and cheeks. They came out amazing. I will have to try the pot pie recipe next time. Great job on the crust for your first time making it. Keep up the great work.

That’s a really good idea! We don’t have grouper here, but I can substitute halibut or salmon. Since my husband used to cook for 25 years, he is the cook of the household since I am mobility impaired. Mushrooms and thyme would be a good thing plus veggies w the halibut,and fresh dill with the salmon. There is a brewery /restaurant nearby that has thyme and sage in their chicken pot pie. The make a flakey type of dough with cheddar cheese mixed in the dough for the top. It tastes awesome! Greetings from Seattle area!

Next time freeze the butter then use a cheese grater or grater attachment on a mixer and shave the butter into the flower. Makes it a little easier to get the pea sized pcs incorporated with the flour.

It was the fat from the grouper so the butter to flour was off. So I just skimmed the oil. But it would have needed more flour to grab that oil
