Steve was right. We Northerners never had it so good as when biscuits and gravy made their way up river. I discovered them after moving to Tennessee several years ago. My friends and family back in Minnesota thought I became a magician the first time I made this stuff for them. They thought the same thing when I smoked ribs for them. Though I never knew him personally, I always felt like Steve was my friend here in Tennessee that I knew from back home in Minny. Good-hearted people just seem to have that effect on others. Thanks to Shiela he lives on.

Homemade is so much better. That packet stuff has a metallic taste to it. It's not too hard to do, just add your milk slowly like Steve did until you get the desired thickness.
