I was so thrilled when this was first added to the game. I thought it would work as a light source, a beautiful outdoor decor, and functional too. But then I was so sad to see it disappear the following day (along with my precious coals...). IMO it shouldn't be a consumable but should be a permanent fixture. The maximum number we can craft can be limited to 2 or sth, like the mini obelisk. I don't mind. I just want a permanent cookout kit in the middle of the cindersap forest and on ginger island.

it feels like a useless item to me why not cook at home and bring into the mines instead of wasting inventory space with the ingredients + the cook kit?

Because you can get this long before the home upgrade! Level 3 foraging is much less restrictive and can usually be done in the first couple weeks of spring 1. After the home upgrade, yeah this would probably only be a “in case of emergency”

@@Dasketti true but I feel like that early the resources for it are best spend on other stuff

@@jentyheijstek3135Fair critique. I personally think the resources are extremely accessible, and I really value energy more than other things I’d be making with the small amount of items it takes. I’ve enjoyed it being moved to level 3, but if you found it cumbersome to use in your playthrough that seems fair. Salad at the saloon is still good 🤷
