I've not done a single auto to the ground, did enough of those in training. I seldom fly at a speed or altitude they would be possible anyway so just pretend the engine will keep running. I've checked the descent rate w/o power, good sink rate at 40 knots, plenty of blade inertia just in case.

Hi, new to your channel and was wondering have you done any full down autos? and if you have at what speed do you do em? I have done them in bell 47's with the wood blades and they auto like a dream. Do the aluminum blades store energy? I have been told that r22's don't auto as well with composit blades. Thanks, Kevin
