Hi there and hello . Just caught the video / or show there . To make your Kusuldama ball , What I have on hand to work with is different colored printer paper which I think would work well . Not to thin and not to thick but easily to fold . The idea is how to follow along with your tutorial . I would probably have to pause the video so I can Get the correct folding technique .

You can do it with thread. When I was 9 I did this with my stepmother and we used thread to put the flowers together. We struggled a lot though

Golden Dragon, It's a part of modular Origami. And they can use glue or MC. 😀 Even super complex origami folders and masters use glue or MC for their models to shape it properly. I have talked with many complex origami artist and designers about using glue in origami.
