The tray for inside the trunk doesnt go on the bottom of the trunk it sits on those 2 ledges on each side when you open it. You will notice its about the same height as the lid of the trunk so it will still close sitting one the left & right ledge

My husband picks up a handful of kites at a dollar store and then rounds up the grandchildren each spring. Its a special day spent with grandpa. They've tied glow sticks to them to fly in the evening.

Had a friend that had a parrot that flew up into a tree but would nit fly down. Lol. The bird talked and hollered "mom" until she climbed the tree and carried him down.😂

When I was a Little girl my dad and I used to make our own kites with sticks and news papers and the tail was tied up pieces of paper that looked like bows it was great fun and they flew really well glad you both had fun ty for sharing and bringing back happy memories for me ty from the uk 🇬🇧

You're right, that is the insert for the trunk. And yes, someone put that "peel & stick" wallpaper over that beautiful floral lining. The trunk would make a great coffee table!

We have a parrot that spooked and flew out the door. It took 4 days to find her. Now when she is riding around on our shoulder and get near an exterior door she freaks out and says NO OUT NO OUT. It took her several months to get over it. I still haven’t gotten over it. She is our baby.

My husband and I on our honeymoon went to the coast. There was a kite flying contest/seminar going on. Our room was on the 3rd floor just exactly even watching the kites fly. It was so cool! Kites are big bucks! Children and adults alike. There are kites that are thousands of dollars, and beautiful! Some of the fabrics are phenomenally beautiful!

That trunk is worth money, the tray rests on the two wooden bars. It would be worth more if it had travel stickers. We had one as a child and kept all our toys and books etc in it. Betty Grable, pronounced Grayble, was a very famous films tar and the sweetheart of all the American troops in WWII. Her legs were insured for a million dollars. She was very talented.

I’ve been watching you guys a long time and finally decided to subscribe. This new red trunk is a great find. Remove the contact paper and use light bleach and water to sanitize it. You can even paint it or decoupage it. My parents had one they put a piece of plexiglass over to use as a side table. They put all their foreign coins under the glass. It was a great piece.

As kids about 53 years ago we use to make our own kites from can and of course the Subday newspaper wendad was done with it the string was fishing line tails made of some shreds of material the longer the tail the better oh and it had to be perfectly balanced in the middle ........ thank you for taking me back to my childhood one of the few good memories 😊

I absolutely loved watching the kite. It looked so happy up there. If you ever have the chance to go up for a glider ride, do it! It makes you feel like you are the kite. The only noise you hear is the wind. ❤

Always love diving with you two. You are a fun duo to hang with and find some interesting treasures. The red trunk is neat! You lay the kite on the ground and walk away from it as you unwind the string, then run and it will rise and catch the wind.

Very awesome! For the military chest the insert goes toward the top and rests on the wood slats at the top, what a nice find. You were able to save a lot of items! What a fun time flying your kite! 🪁❤👍

I used to live in a small town, on the coast of California, twenty miles, below the Oregon border. The small town of Brookings, Or. right across the border, held a kite festival, every year, and there were folks there, from all over the world. The kites were amazing. A lot of them were made, by the flyers. It was held right next to the beach. We went every year. You did a great job, flying, Kelly.

Tip for breaking down the cardboard boxes with tape… press on the side at the bottom where the tape is, it will release a bit and you can then pull it off. Happy diving and thanks for taking us along! 🐾🐾🇨🇦

My grandpa used to make kites. It was one of his favorite hobbies. Years ago here in the heart of Texas there was a kite show at a lake where my family and I flew kites. I have pictures of that day and some awesome memories. Also yes that Ninja turtle is Raphael.
