My unit had KC-135s and I used to lay next to the boom operator. The jets were the best to watch as they were refuelled. Thanks for a great outside view!

Many years it was a reasonable sight on the SW approaches to see Air to Air reflelling. mostly RAF types. Also if very lucky, USAF TDY a/c to uk airfields and europe.

Question to all . i live in North London . ,,, Last night at about 19.20 , there was a a flight formation in the night sky flying high and headed North , about 3 formations of a string aircraft of about 8 or so in each line two long formations and 1 short . it looked like they were flying in a single file line equally spaced out at altitude . Anyone else see this last night early evening in the UK .. ?
