The "fail/thready" lines in that one print remind me of Damascus steel patterns. It'll be really cool to see how you incorporate those with purpose, I like them a lot, they add visual texture with light reflecting on an already nicely textured piece.👍👍

For vase mode, it works well to have the rib cuts form an X pattern. It ends up behaving a bit like an isogrid structure. There's a lot of potential for variations and decoration with this approach too.

Door stops, drink coasters, organization trays, etc. There's all kinds of things you can make custom for your home.

So many amazing designs! You have such a talent for creating good looking and very functional designs. Iterations nails the functionality over time, as shown with the garbage bag brackets. That said, I would slowly lose my mind over having to use two hands to put garbage into the bag. A simple lip on the front of the lid would allow you to open it while holding garbage with the same hand. Also, if the brush was mounted horisontally over the dustpan, it could help holding "dammråttor" or hair clippings in place while carrying the whole thing to the waste bin. Välkommen till Sverige, vi är glada att ha dig här!

@make.anything9 ай бұрын
.001 mm cuts for the PLEIADES prints... I could have gone down to .00001 mm but it's already fusing at this point. If not, just have the printer overextrude ever so slightly. For external ribs like the VESUVIUS pot, the ribs should be double the extrusion width, or slightly less for a bit of overlap.

I don't know how I haven't run accross you before. I am subscribed to ~50 different 3D printing channels, but what I saw on yours today was truly amazing. I really look for functional prints (toys are nice but making things your need is 10x better) and you just knocked it out of the park over and over again. I'm printing your free hanger right now in silver PETG, fingers crossed I got everything right. Is there any chance you will post the free designs to MakerWorld? That would simplify consumption of your models as well as drive up subscriptions to your KZbin channel as you could link to it for people to see the items in action. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. If the hanger works out I will be buying your full model for the extra bits and bobbles but more importantly to show my appreciation for the work you put into this. Side note - I recently backed the "hinger" Kickstarter which cost a LOT more for just a handful of fabricated hangers, and had I seen your video before hand I wouldn't have bothered *even though you approach the solution differently - you should check out her design).

Man add a shelf under the green and orange bags so the bottom of each bag is sitting on a small shelf :) that will take some of the pressure off the bag and prevent it from ripping without having to make anything large :) maybe even add a short lip to the shelf so the bag will definitely stay on it.

One more for your utility belt: Instead of a tape in the screw, you can save yourself the trouble of missing the mark and or removing the tape afterwards by designing a mount you can attach to the drill. To the side of the mount and aligned with the drilling axis you can make a hole where you can insert a stick with ruler markings. You can then push in the stick that will be x milimiters behind the crew bit tip. You can now carelessly drill as the stick will touch the door and preventing you from pushing further. You can design any mechanism to lock the stick in, but if you have a filament that allows for some flex, but it can maintain rigid lock, then I like the approach of making a cerraded stick, that you can move freely through the hole while holding down a hinge with a few teeth that will mesh with the cerraded side of the stick.
@nikkiperkins8818 ай бұрын
I am so fascinated by this video!! You had a new subscriber within a few minutes, just based on your personality. A lot of people gave you a beating for your hangers, but I loved them! I love that you could do multiple colors which if you want to use the color to further organize your closet, you could use it to know it a glance whether the item on the hanger is a T-shirt, dress shirt, tank top, long pants, skirt (I’m a girl I have lots of clothing options OK?) Dress pants versus leggings; the ideas go on and on. Plus like you, I just moved to a new area (although it’s not Sweden I moved from the East Coast to the West Coast). Sadly, while I’m happy to have a new house design has gine back to white everything. It’s nice to have that pop of color in your house :) Now onto my legitimate question: for the broom, would the bristles have to be printed in ABS (I’m literally purchasing my first 3-D printer in the next week or two so I’m a complete newbie) or could you pick a softer materials such as TPU? I wasn’t sure if the bridging function would work on a softer material. I understand you said that you had to pick a material that the printer could extrude, but would cool as it was being bridged. But as an newbie I have no concept of how to judge which of the various materials would do that. You do give me hope because the X1C is at the top of my list in terms of printers I’m looking at. It’s reassuring to see the kinds of things I could potentially make. Fidget, spinners, and toys are great, but having actual functional items come out of my printer is way more satisfying for me 😉
@make.anything8 ай бұрын
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed my projects! Bridging TPU that far sounds like a real challenge but seems reasonably possible with the right settings... and maybe the bristles wouldn't have to be as long since the material is more flexible. The whole design might have to change if it becomes a floppy brush though. I might have to explore that a bit!
