GIVEAWAY TIME! We found some pretty cool shells on Assateague today, and a super cool clump of 3 oysters molded together. They had to be out there a looooooong time! That skull still stumps me, I'm thinking it's some sort of eagle skull.

As a person who loves animals (worked at ZooAmerica Hershey) I really admire your respect for the natural habitat and animals that live in it. I also had no idea about the fence keeping the ponies apart. I grew up on Misty of Chincoteague as a child even wrote Marguarite Henry a letter when I was in 3rd grade. Those are some cool shells you found! I love Assateague. I always ride my bike from my hotel in OC to there when I'm on vacation. It's a fun day trip.

Another great video Jay! This is my family's absolute favorite place. As I have commented before we always stay at Frontier Town and love Assateague. My wife would have acted the same way if she seen seals. She would have lost her mind. Seals and otters! We have taken multiple trips to Delmarva Discovery Center and Museum in Pocomoke City to see the live otters there. If you never been there it would make a good video. Keep up the videos. We enjoy them!

Dude Awesome video! For as long as I have been coming down, I will admit, I wussy out when it comes to driving on the beach did it once in Delaware to fish the surf, did nothing with the tires, but then again did not drive too far. Love your videos!! Assateague is my happy place, we camp for a week at the State Park twice a year, in early spring and fall. Last year we lucked out and were able to get on the OSV multiple times, between the storms, during our camping trips.

Hey! I live on Bogues Bay and I can see Chincoteague from my yard/dock. We have friends with a Wrangler who go out on the federal side. The beach there was torn up pretty bad this year. Same for the Fed side beach parking.

Yeah it was really bad. The Park Service worked like crazy to get it back open, but even at that it was still bad. The MD side is starting to look "normal" again but there's still some tough spots.

Haha no they don't. A month or 2 ago the sand was real soft, there were about 20 stuck vehicles out there one weekend. It was a mess.

Yup! Almost mid way from the ocean to the bay is an "S" turn style thing where you can cross if you want. The horses can't get through it.
