To be honest in those situations I usually go by "Do your best and caulk the rest" ;)

Yep, I cope all my trim regardless. I use a overlapped sandpaper disk on my grinder. Works very fast

A subtle trick on top of this is to cope the piece that’s parallel to entrances instead of the perpendicular one. That way you see even LESS of a gap. plus it’s easier to cope bigger pieces. So it’s a win-win!

For shoe I 45 it then use CA glue and an accelerator then I pop a nail in it.

But you still need to back cut it, or return it on the right side where it meets the casing… •Also put the little piece in first, then the long piece holds in the little piece better

You 45 out, and cut back at a 45 to the paint line, or stain line. That way all that back wood is out of the way.

One is cut at 90° and butted into the wall. The second piece is cut at a 45 and coped. Coping is where you cut the material out, following the profile of the face of the cut.

Can easily be done with a drill press, hole saw, a few linear algebra equations (just to get the eigen values correct), a Heisenberg compensator, and a solenoid. Always carry an extra solenoid.
