These 2 videos of yours helped me make sure I was on the right path before doing this on my 1998 Limited. Thanks!

I Have the same problem on mine, I tried with the tester but the welding is good. 0 ohm as resistance on welds. I noticed that by moving the wires behind the plug the error disappears, what I don't understand is that by measuring the cables to the sensor one is grounded while the other pink / black gives me some resistance, perhaps the cable is interrupted but this it does not explain how the error disappears when the wires behind the connector are moved

interesting, that seems to be the problem. I did remove the sensor, but it was in great condition, working flawless. I guess electronic wires after 20 years tend to break as well

@@tinome3987 I meant the 4wd sensor(part time message). That sensor that you mean can be removed as well, not really sure how to explain, but I saw a video on youtube which is I believe similar method.

This model of Jeep was made for the italian market at that time and I believe it is the "budget" model with 2.5 L turbo diesel engine. It is written on the top of the engine Eagle but I was told it has an italian motor instead of an US one. And yes, manual transmission. Hell on earth cruising the city, especially on peak summer but I love Jeep.

@shayne.32 Жыл бұрын
part time is 4 wheel drive for off road, full time is 4 wheel drive for highway or off road

How can U take the screen out? Can U make a video?
@TheLogitech052 жыл бұрын
I decided not to do a video because there do circulate many videos on YT on this topic. Basically first you need to remove the glove compartment carefully since the last screw is attached to the plastic surrounding the vic screen. And when removing that you have 3 screws that hold the VIC on its place. Make sure you use magnetic tip screwdrivers so that the screws don’t fall into that space beneath VIC.

Noeh Medina I am glad it helped you with this annoying issue. Sadly, I am not an professional KZbinr so that everything you see is filmed with a cellphone 📱 so I do understand and accept negative feedback as well.

Car does give me a superior feeling even though it is more than 20 years old. Since it has some mileage into it, really small but annoying things like this error it it best to fix itself when having some spare time.
