This was a few years back. But I was in Circuit City with my dad and one of the workers was bugging him to buy something. My dad gave him a few polite no thank yous, we're just looking. The guys still stuck around and watched us... but he stood really close, and at one point he stepped on my dad's shoe. My dad walked right out of there. Was hilarious. There is nothing worse than an annoying employee that won't leave you alone.

Before Suncoast closed up around here me and my friend would go in on occasion just to look and talk about movies together. There was this guy, a little guy with glasses, very mouse looking kind of guy. EVERY TIME we went in that store he would go out of his way to find us in any section we were in, stand by us, ask us if we wanted to reserve something, then stand around and cut into our conversations acting as if his choices in movies were better. He was so snarky. Good thing that place closed.

Haha, I love the Walmart rant. I've worked a few retail jobs and wasn't like one of the top employees because I just didn't care. Then I worked at Walmart and some of the managers said I was really good and could be in management. Uhh.... what?!?!? lol. Also, on my first day out on the sales floor there I asked a customer, "Can I help you?" and she looked at me sooooo shocked, like the world was about to explode or something. I stopped asking because people seemed freaked out when I did, lol.

People like the guy you experienced at FYE remind me of another issue with the malls here in Pittsburgh: Kiosk employees selling lotion and manicures. You walk by and they literally come after saying "wow look how beautiful your skin is, can i have a few minutes of your time?" or "can I ask you a question, sir?" Shopping has literally become a preditor/prey situation. It's scary!!!

i used to work at gamestop and we never pressured ppl like that but your right about fye...there they do push the issue and follow you around, its annoying as hell...they also push their useless store discount card...

once in Circuit City...I walked up to the register to check out and three employees stood there laughing and talking and completely ignored me....so i stormed off and then they asked me if i needed help so i said "f**k off*...n went to another register

my stroy with a shopkeep was: i was in a hobbyshop and a guy said "so you looking for this product" i replied with a simple "no thank you" and he went through nearly every product until i said i was just looking. and with that he said [quote] "well then please leave as we havee paying customers waiting for you"!!!

there is a guy at my best buy who is always trying to start a conversation with people including myself even after they say they dont need any help. he's pretty nice but it gets really annoying after a while

I know it's annoying for the employees to bother you with those questions, but it's the company and the CEOs that make the rules of asking all of those questions. I used to work for a hotel as a breakfast hostess and we had to walk around with a coffee pot to ask if they wanted more coffee even though it was an open breakfast bar. Turns out the hotel wanted us to ask the guests if they joined the rewards program. Gah, glad I left. I hate bothering people in the middle of their breakfast.

I went into a normal store to buy a chocolate bar. The woman at the cashier, from halfway across the shop, shouted : 'what are you looking for?' I don't know about you but choosing a chocolate bar is something i can't do within 5 seconds.

hello -since 2003 i no longer shop at video dvd stores like hmv and virgin because of the staff and security people. its very unfriendly and unwelcoming. its cheaper and easier to shop on-line

I hate when you go into a mall store and when your done shopping and then you go up to the counter to pay for your stuff that they want you to buy every little thing that's on the counter and most of it is over price junk that you don't want. One the reasons I hate going to the mall to be honest.

The more I watch these older videos, the more I'm starting to believe he does have something like Social Anxiety Disorder or something. Looking back, MJ always did talk about not liking to eat in front of or around other people and that's a common symptom of SAD.

I find shopping at Best Buy or Wal-Mart for movies much more enjoyable due to the fact you guys pointed out ,the employees leave you alone.Smaller shops i find because they need to push for sales and worry about theft more ,it can be less than relaxing spending much time browsing titles...By the way everyone has run to an annoying freak of a clerk once in a while, What can you you do.

I went into Pro Image at the mall and the employes says "can I interest you in some college football tickets buddy"? Then I said no and then I looked around at some jerseys and he goes "Man you finding everything ok and you've been in here a long time"? so I bought a jersey, then he accused me of taking off the price tag. When I wrote a check he went into the back of the store verified it with my bank and said "sorry man people have been ripping us off with bad checks". fucker.

I would stay away from the Caribbean islands if i were you two if you thought your experience with staff there was bad. I went to St. Lucia for my brother's wedding and you couldn't walk 100 yards without some local going up to you trying to sell you something, and they will LITERALLY not take no for an answer. I can understand some of them need to do that for a living but my god if we say no it means NO.

The Resident Evil movies sucks ass! I think the first one is ok as a movie but as a Resident Evil movie it sucks and the other ones sucks aswell. So many dramaturgical flaws in these movies. I rather see Saw continue than The Resident Evil movies.
