In this video, I will show you why Coolermaster MWE 450 is the best and reliable power supply in India. Coolermaster used Half Bridge Resonance LLC Converter with DC-DC Converters.
Full Load Testing---
12v rail. - 444 watts with 12.17v
5v rail - 25 watts with 5.12 v
3.3v rail - 16.5 watts with 3.38v
(Results may not 100% accurate, I used heating elements as load and monitor current and voltage on each rail.)
Filters-
there are 2x Y-capacitors and an X capacitor on 220v input. followed by a Differential mode filter inductor and 2 inductors in the Common mode filter. so, we can say this power supply impressively suppresses high-frequency noise from the input side.
PFC, and Primary Capacitor-
This particular Unit is 450watt rated so the PFC Circuit is made up of only 1 MOSFET (JCS13N50FC), inductor, and its diode(10F60UHF). Primary Capacitor is from Capxon Rated for 85 degrees Celcius, with ratings of 420volt 270uf.
DC to AC Converter-
MWE uses 2 MOSFETs in Half Bridge Configuration (JCS13N50FC) to make PSU affordable and yes safe and efficient at the same time. Due to soft switching nature of circuit, This PSU is actually very reliable, and less prone to get damage, low electrical noise, better filtering and cool Components are achieved with this design. at low price. Insane
Secondary Rectification-
This version Uses 2 mosfets in Centertapped secondary of transformer. to rectify 12V DC. whic is done by 2X NCE40H12 85Amp 40v Mosfet.. these mosfets rectifies full wave. and with very low ESR, these Mosfets dissapates very little power, that makes it cooler and more efficient.
Output Capacitors-
Coolermaster used Capxon KF Series capacitors on the power rails. all are rated for 105 degrees Celsius.
12v rail - 10x Capxon 16v 1000uf (Electrolytic)
5v rail - Capxon 10v 680uf (Polymer)
3.3v rail - Capxon 6.3v 680uf (Polymer)
+5VSB - Capxon 10v 1000uf
*Other logic capacitors are from Capxon rated for 105 degrees Celcius.
DC-DC Converter.
So, this PSU only generates 12volts and rest 5Volt and 3.3volt is generated from same 12volt and convert it further back to 5v and 3.3 volts with 2 identical Syncronous Buck converters.
this design is superior when it comes to maintain tight voltage regulation and variable load.
Cooling Fan-
Coolermaster here used a 3000RPM 120MM cooling fan, which mostly runs below 1000RPM to make less noise, this unit comes with manufacturer from "Thermal Control"
which is controlled by temperature of secondary side heatsink.
This PSU (Coolermaster MWE 450v2 80+ bronze (2021)) is awesome and better when we compare it with similar budget PSUs.
Warrenty provided is 5 year which is amazing, at this price...

You were right about reactive power - After removing all input filters the ideal consumption dropped to 1 watt But the noise is still there and it's coming from the transformers or the mosfets. Is it safe to continue using the powersupply with that noise? Cuz maybe Pulse transformers shouldn't make any noise

See.. No problem with Ryzen 9 5900X... but When we talk about 2080Ti... That card is not ment for any 650 watt PSU.. because ye card bhale average 250-280 watt leta hai.. but peak me.. 380 watts bhi kheech leta hai.. you need more headroom.. 750watt PSU will be fine... Although 650 watt can also work.. but am not 100% sure... Bake noise, Transient respose.. sab theek hai is PSU ka

Bro my cooler master mwe 450v2 is consuming 30 watts of power when it's not even connected to the pc (I removed all connectors) and tested in off state And it's making some very little Tesla coil like electric noise and when I hear to that noise I feel dizzy and headache. During Off State, Your PSU doesn't consume more than 1-2watts.. what you saw is.. reactive power, So Simple multiplication of Voltage and current doesn't reproduce Active Power in AC Circuits, and In These PSUs, Doesn't Trigger APFC, until you turn the PSU On... So if you measured Voltage and AC current, so this might be an issue.. Next the Noise, The Input Filters do create some noise, whether they are connected or not... so chill about it... But if the noise is strange.. Time to change the PSU, Although they'll reject your RMA claim.. because the PSU is just running.. so maybe you need to change. Your PSU..

I donno why more reactive power in this one - maybe due to more filters and inductors or probably I fault I am changing it. So a 450 watt PSU will work.. So Corsair CX 450 will work... But CX isn't available most of the time.. may be you try Asus TUF 550M PSU.. they are also good.. but expensive at the same time...

I was thinking if they reduced the capacitor quality to include the dc to dc llc circuit. But this is a 450w psu where people usually use i3. So why would they need that circuit if the cpu is just going to take a fixed 65W? Besides cooler master is hectic to deal with when claiming warranty, so please don't say the 5 year warranty is worth it. If given a choice between CV450 and MWE 450 people would definitely choose CV450. A reason why it is more expensive online. Correct me if I am wrong.

Not exactly they reduce the quality to add DC-DC Converters, but to full fill the supply and demand gap.. they source the components from multiple makers.. and build the PSU..that is why some units have different components and even have their same name... And no cpu doesn't always take 65 Watts, in Totally depends on what is currently processing

talking in terms of Computer Power supplies, there is nothing like continuous power supplies.. a PSU Must deliver the rated power continuously. in its specs.. this like (Continuous power) is used by brands, who sell cheap psus primarily, and want to sell their PSUs, which is little better.. so that it can believe this much wattage continuous.. as in my testing, I already tested all the tests with various loads. and i showed how much power it can diliver.. so yes it can diliver continuously 100% of its rated power.

See. It's not like AVR are great. but opposite is true, they make Voltage spikes more prominent if they are not implemented carefully.. for APC 11OOVA UPS, Ill say that will work as long as you havegood PSU, if no, then even APC cant save your PC in even stable mains voltage.. summerising. If PSU is good, no need to worry about UPS, APC UPS will work. in General AVRs doesnt make any sense as, PSUs can actually do better job in stablizing Voltage (if PSU is good). 1100VA can provide you 1100watts at powerfactor of unity, yes. Good PSU can achieve close to 1 PF, so yes it will do the job at full load also,

Coolermaster MWE 650 V2 bronze 230V does handle low voltages pretty well... But as you said.. it fluctuates.. not stable at even low voltages.. I'll say.. Good Stabilizer with Good Switchers, (its internal design of Stabilizers, where Instead of cheap Relays, They use quick action relays, along with Transient suppression Capacitors... to stabilize the noise at the output... Get a good UPS bro... like we use in ACs, not cheap ass Locally made ones that look like a white box.. avoid them..

If you're getting an Inverter, I'll say skip the Stabilizer, go with Luminous Zelio 1100, And Run it in UPS mode, It doesn't have Voltage stabilization, but it monitors and turns UPs mode when Voltage drops to a certain point, If you're still buying UPS + AVR, There are 3.5KW AC Stabilizers to Air conditioners, they don't produces much Inductive high voltage smiles .

Amplifir use karoge to Defionately Wires modify karna hoga, and any physical changes, will cause warrenty to be voided. baki powersupply ke bat kare.. to many modern PSUs will trip OCP when a sudden load is applied without providing any signals to 24 Pin connector, this PSU will work without any issues. also its transient response is also good.. overall usable

Practically.. No.. Reason:- Sare ke sare control circuits Secondary side pe hai.. PWM controller and Protection ICs are hard to re wire.. as both are SMD chips... And You have to almost change everything in secondary side to make 24V mod work.. so It's not practical to do so.. yes if you are learning something.. I'll say go for mod

They only Claim.. In Reality.. You'll find only 1 Japanese Cap.. while other are Chinese knock offs.. EVGA 450BR is Good but do not offers modern platform and neither good Caps.. I only prefer Coolermaster MWE 450 Bronze V2 For Budget Users.. (Don't Buy VS, CV and other PSUs from any brand... ) And Corsair CX550F for safe spot... And you can choose any better PSUs from this spot..

The input of this psu is 8-4 Amp, so most probably it will use 4 amp @230V (Please correct me if I am wrong). Can we use 6amp plug? To test the power supply you have to short two pins, the 4th and 5th pin from the extreme end when holding the 24 pin socket with the clip part facing towards you. If it turns on the psu is working, if not, it is the fault with the motherboard. You can however try to reseat the ram sticks and reinsert the cmos battery after cleaning it. Hope you check for any loose connections and also see the back of the motherboard if there is any blackened or brown part.

CV is trash.. MWE 450 Bronze is better.. But I'll say go with Corsair CX550F PSUs.. for Mid Range PC.. MWE is for budget PCs.. Or MWE Gold V2..

But I don't then I will order a rx580 2048sp from Amazon (indian relatives will bring it for me) + MWE 450 V2 BRONZE. 2060 used costs like 20k INR+ used here (that too not locally) so that's out of the question.

You can actually Buy Crucial MX500 is Sata M.2 form factor... As well as WD Blue Sata in M.2 form factor from Amazon.. they are very similar in Write Endurance.. so You can pic any... Because Price matters a lot... you can pick any (WD Blue or Crucial MX500) for yourself.. and both are actually DRAM Cached and performs nearly the same.. so get any drive which sits cheap... ✌🏼✌🏼

Reason of failure can be different.. Surely Coolermaster MWE V2 Series have better Design.. but reliabiliy.. They are not so far off.. means They are very close when we talk about reliabiliy.. still I'll say CM is better.. design plays very important role.. I recommend to use Corsair CX550F Minimum..

@@revanth4184 550 watt will be enough to be honest.. but as an enthusiast.. i always recommend 150 watts so 650 or 700 watts PSU. cpu-150 watts (with VRM inefficiency) gpu-270 watts 50 watts for motherboard 100 watts for fan and hdds total 570 watts.. 150 watts surplus for lets say USB devices.. upto (75 watts) 5x3 5 devices and 75 for future upgrades.. so close to 650 watts or 700

4070 is power hungry, get something decent, like I mentioned DQ750M gold V2 or better... MWE series Is fine for budget.. don't just go with them for Mid to high end PCs .. Although MWE 750 Bronze V2 will work no issues... But extra layer of protection is always better than loosing your expensive stuff...
