You got it - if you already own a home here, the increase in sales price means your investment is appreciating. Yes, we do have to pay taxes on it, but I'd prefer that to the alternative of having no investment, or my investment decreasing in value.

great video, i currently live in El Paso, Texas right now but we will be moving to Austin, Texas this july and i really dont wanna go. I'm begging to stay in El Paso but i cant, and since everyone is moving to Austin it'd be great to move to California now 😄

Great video! Austin is great for all you tech people and high earning professions coming from where everything is expensive!! Make sure you find out how much property taxes are first before you pick. Most middle-class people can afford the suburbs of Austin these days if you’re interested in buying a house. Your house is an investment and if you have to pay 11k a year on property taxes....👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼. Austin is a unique vibe and living in the places listed here you really get that.
