I flew through Heathrow in January 2016 and had a 13 hour layover. I had heard about this, but NOBODY knew where they were or that they existed. We took the directions from airport staff and ended up at a spa, which rented rooms by the hour. We had 4 ppl in our group: two adults and two kids. They wanted us to purchase 4 rooms and it would have cost us almost $300 (US) for 6 hours. I would loved to use this, but they really need to tell their own staff about these facilities.

I really hope more airports set up more yotels in the furture. Long flight(plus connection flight) is always killing me. I can't even survive if I can't find me a place to sleep a little while before I move on my next flight. Yotel is simply the best. I mean I don't even need a Visa and I don't need going through customs either but I will still have a room to sleep, so good for me.

My husband I booked a yotel back inn 2013. I can't remember if it was Heathrow or Gatwick. We originally bocked a double room. When we got there. Had no problems finding it. We were told that the double rooms where only for 1 adult + 1 child. But theu gave us an extra room for no extra fee. The best part, that we didn't know about before we got there, is that during your stay you have access to the yotel lounge and that includes food that comes included in the price. Pluss they offer spa treatments at an extra cost. Loved it!!!!

i think the hotel is inside the airport so passengers doesn't need to get out of the airport, so 30 pounds for 7 hours is really cheap

I rented a full-sized bed/pod a few years ago at Heathrow and we stuffed FOUR of us (2 adults and two pre-teens) into the room! 3 on the bed and one on the floor. We were between 2 long hauls so it was heaven for us! I even took a shower. It believe it was the equivilent of $65 USDs and was so worth it! We took the next leg of our trip refreshed and happy.

Thanks! I actually ended up using one of the double beds for one person (only thing they had) and it was heaven!!!! It's true about the minimalist part but after been awake for nearly 48 hours even the floor would've looked comfortable! hahahaha And i know some people might said it's way too expensive but I got a good 4 hours of sleep, a nice shower and took the train to my destination for about 110 pounds, whereas a taxi from the airport with no sleep/shower would've cost me about 220 pounds!

About bang on for that taxi (270 quid is what I coughed up) - had to do that in December 2010 when Heathrow shut down for 2cm of snow. Ended up giving Air Canada the middle finger and resorting to 1 CDN AIR DIV for an airlift that was doing a stopover at Scotland from KAF. Thankfully the taxi was reimbursed by my gov't, and being on duty travel made getting on the mil flight quite easy .

Seems like a cabin on a train. I'm game for it. Normally on layovers of 6 to 10 hours I just rent the cheapest car I can find at an airport, go out to their parking lot, get in, recline the seat and go to sleep. It ends up being less than $30 US

The salesman or CEO forgot to mention the two most important things: Whether the hot shower works well (critical to a sticky tired traveler)) and the price of the tiny decades old design. I doubt they do not advertise? Absurd with the cost of the real estate by location. I believe the trekkers that go to K2 and Mt Everest would love something like this. An Apple hostel you could say! Great idea, but easily copied, and if it were soundproof he should talk at normal decibels. Yes, I am a lawyer and business investor. Too bad his hotel is copied in cold weather climate layover airports, train stations and of course expensive cities. Thy had these in Holland in 1982, and I sat in the shower, you could not stand up. And remember, in Europe, private bathrooms were an oddity reserved for Americans, very rare. Some of the pod hotels have shared but private showers and toilets - that doesn't bother me at all. Easy to make a reserve gadget for the showers. I would add a hot tub, steam and sauna in one that is looking for whole week clients for a couple of extra Euros per (toll booth concept Sure, better than stuck in a 4-5 star airport hotel, but the problem is this is not like discovering Coke or Apple before anyone else did. I am sure Marriott and others have studied these for decades.

So we leave them to freeze on the streets? A dry bed and food is nothing for a rich society to provide for its people. Councils could take people off the streets and open factories to build these things. Then people like me (my own house etc) can sleep at night with a clear conscience. While I'm at it. Poverty has no place in Britain. we are too rich for it to be accepted. if you have an iPhone and a 50 inch TV, you're not in poverty.

£174 for a standard cabin (1 person) p/n, £214 for a premium cabin (2 people) p/n, and £234 for a premium family cabin - (two adults & two children) p/n. (prices via website and unable to book via other hotel companies for cheaper deals). So it's basically the price of a 5* hotel in London.

Samuel Gamble Struggle getting a hotel in London? My friend, I got a 5* hotel situated right by St Pauls for £130 a night. A lot of decent central 4* - 5* hotels are normally £150-220 per a night if you can do your research. Like if you're choosing world famous, over price hotel, then yeah, pay your price.
