As a huge advocate of snowballing in rust, yes, one of the best feelings is killing an ak guy with a bow. However, that come up is pointless if the Ak just sits in your base all of wipe. Run the Ak until you lose it, then snowball again to get one back.

I think gear feat depends on the person, I prefer to NOT waist gear for nothing. I don't like running the spear even if I have one, I will eventually 100% like even today if I'm in the mood but I need to be in the mood to lose it.

Pointless to have gear fear 3/4 way into wipe. I get it at the start of wipe but at the end of the day the game wipes. Don’t want people getting the wrong idea. USE YOUR GOOD GEAR, at some point it’s great to use it because some meta guns you might not even like or scopes. After running the flir 50+ times in the past 2 weeks because they are so expensive (now idc wipes so close) I don’t really like it. I had been hording a spear most of the wipe and finally used it and I love it! Use one 1/5 raids and it’s a blast. Don’t let people get you comfortable with stocking up a bunch of great stuff and never using it. Love jones but gear fear isn’t what you wanna have for this game. Maybe when you are 1500 hours in because a lot of top players run a shit bag but other then that just have fun and use those 2 mill kits!

It's not gear fear. I just don't wanna get killed by cheater losers. Tried it out lol. I brought 3 several million rouble worth kits and went and hid in a really odd spot on shoreline. Was hunted down each time. 37h, 211h and 84h all in the 40s w 8-10kds... I had respectivley an axmc, a spear and a kitted svd w class 6 armor rigs. Did the same w augs, aks74u and an mpx. All raids I was fully left alone. Feels like cheating has been super bad now that a lot of legit OGs have left...

I lost MOST (not all) of my gear-fear by thinking about it like this: A loadout, that's more than able to kill most lvl 20-40s costs 150k max. A good scav run can get you 100k, so with 2 moderate scavs you can get back all that money. Also: it's gone with the next wipe anyways so f it and enjoy the big guns :D It's like an old car: it wants to be driven, not stored and hidden ^^

Just run straight towards the extract and grab what’s on the way out. Sometimes to make more than 100k, sometimes less. It was just a rough estimate and 100k sounded reasonable.

Gear fear is dumb, if you use kits you can afford you’ll play better and be more effective. If you find players with good gear your best off just using it casually and having fun or it’ll sit in your stash way to long. Gear fear comes from people thinking if they do the right thing or make the best kit they’ll survive, both not true. It really just goes away once you realize the gear doesn’t do all that much and to get better gear you mostly just need to grind levels more

I can't understand why ratting in Tarkov is a bad thing. I mean, the whole game forces you to wait for the wrong move from your opponent. It's like, the main game mechanics. If you're tried to play like in CoD in front of me giving me all the necessary info- it's not my problem you're an idiot.

G your playing a tactical shooter. Camping ie rating is the most tactical way to win. Get patience clear your corners or go find a different game. Ratting wins wars so of course you lose if you don’t apply ambush tactics over aggressive on huge maps with too many corners to clear.
