Was waiting for this! The dialogues were a reference to his old films 'Ranga' (1982) and a song in Ninithale Innikum. And the bracelet around his arm is something he wore in his other much older films as a Coolie. So hence the title. It's the longest teaser for a title reveal for a Lokesh movie, so you can tell he's giving it his absolute best. This looks like a blast and I cannot wait for this. Lokesh has in fact teased that this film may show Thalaivar (Rajinikanth) in a negative light this time, like his older films back in the day, what he first started off as. So we'll see! And love what Achara said about Rolex and the potential connection this film may have to the rest, pay more attention Jaby! 💀

@aryann4570 Actually no, Thee is a remake of Amitabh Bachchan's Deewar. Two different films. Rajinikanth never did a remake for Coolie. This film isn't a remake either. We don't know what to expect from Lokesh, but the title is Coolie as reference to Thalaivar's older films like 'Uzhaipaali' (1993), 'Mannan' (1992), and 'Mullum Malarum' (1978) where he's played the role of a coolie.

That Dialogue is from his old movie Ranga(80's) & a song from Ninaithaale Innikkum(70's). This is only title reveal teaser. Main shooting not yet started. Lokesh announced that this one is a standalone film specially made for Rajinikanth, setting away for LCU. So, the Rolex idea is off the list! However, he acted as a porter in a train station (who was called as a Coolie) and he had the same badge on his arm numbered 777 and 786 (two different movies from the 80's guys!) Bholaa is a very convoluted remake of Kaithi which watered down the specialties that Lokesh created for Kaithi. So, that's a no-no!

One thing you have to give to Lokesh is how he presents his hero in all "GOD" mode. Be it Vijay in Leo, Kamal Hassan and Suriya in Vikram, Karthi in Kaithi or Vijay Thomas & Vijay Setupathi in Master, he always present his Hero in such a beautiful manner, it gives them a different aura altogether. The monologue is a lyrics from a 1978 movie. "ninaithale inikkum". Kamalhasan was the lead. Rajinikanth was supporting actor. Kamal plays a Rockstar singer , Rajni plays his Guitarist. One day Kamal is no show, Rajni improvs a lyric .Just a bunch of one liners strung together. Lyric is penned by the great late poet Kannadaasan. Composed by MSV ,a great before Ilayaraja and ARR The "D.I.S.C.O Disco Disco" song was composed by the living great Ilayaraja.. He also composed the "Shenbagame" (whistle towards the end of trailer) . Both were composed in 80s
