Man. This album was incredible. But coolio for some reason loved My Soul more.. Gangstas Paradise, and we know how good that song is, was the worst on this album... loved this album so much ❤️

@@BrandonGreenShow all three coolio albums were classics. They fit the time well, too. I think my soul is prob the least well received. The deviiiil is dope. Coolios music jus its own thing. Cant believe hes dead.

I can still recite this song and the whole album like I’ve been continuously listening to it since it came out. Got this cd once gangstas paradise came out. I’m 40 now. TIME GOES BY WAY TOO DAMN FAST

This was and still is of course a top-notch record where each song is a potential hit. Retrospectively, it was the first hip-hop album I listened in its entirety and what got me into the genre. I was 11 when it came out and had my parents buy it for me because of the title song but was very excited to find out that I actually like all of it as it went on the first time I played it. I still get the same feeling to this day.

Used to bring this album to school dances and play all the way through until someone noticed the cuss words and stopped it. Usually it was a bunch of hick wannabes that wore cowboy boots and tight wranglers, doing line dancing n sh*t. I was always able to get em to play the entire elbum almost tho. And they loved it!! Did that for a few years straight at every dance. I introduced a LOT of people to this album. Wish i could have at least MET this man, he IS my pre teens and teens.
