Mount Tabor is located in Lower Galilee, Israel.
at the Eastern end of Jezreel valley, about 18 km west of the Sea of Galilee.
In the Old testament it was the site of battle between the Israelites army under leadership of Barak and the judge Deborah the Prophetess against Canaanite army their King being Jabin and commander of their army Sisera.
Mount Tabor is a traditional site of Jesus transfiguration {New Testament}
