My name is Amaan Pattikara and I am a final year MBBS student studying at COOPER HOSPITAL (Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Medical college). In this video I give a detailed explanation of the unique things to look for in my college and the ground reality of this beautiful medical school in the heart of western mumbai.

Don't think in terms of marks, Think in terms of rank, check out what was the cut of rank last year (for which ever category you belong to) and then, check if the rank you are getting in this exam is above it or not, that's the best way to judge the probability of whether you will get this or any other college .

Sir i can get this college easily .. But many are saying it is not good regarding patients exposure.. academics...extra curricular activities.. Should u consider any other or it is all myth

See, it's all your personal choice , as far as patient exposure is concerned , you are training to become a mbbs level doctor, and for that level, it is wayyyy more than needed, you will get to see all kinds of rare cases. But remember, since you are not doing PG, higher speciality exposure is not necessary for you at all and anywhich ways, you will not be taught anything about that (but even then there are plenty of higher specialties you can see in cooper). As far as academics is concerned, for theoretical stuff, you have to anywhich ways study on your own, and classroom lectures are a waste of time in my opinion. But yes, practicals are more systematic in other well established colleges like KEM. and I agree it lacks structure in cooper (not talking about knowledge and skills of teacher, they are top tier). But yes, for mbbs level you are all set. Rest is your choice (if it were upto me, I would choose a college that is nearest to me, so that I won't be wasting time travelling, that is the biggest factor, rest all are secondary). And yes, even extracurriculars are not as great as other colleges.
