Whether the show was like the real story or not, you gotta give these actors credit for their brilliant performances. Also I have no clue why Nicolas is so serious in these interviews. maybe he’s upset from the backlash for his character lyle. Idk

100% at the time it was unimagineable that a father could be so cruel and disgusting by raping his male children. And people also had a hard time believing that a mother could turn a blind eye to her kids being sexually abused. But you only need to go back and look at their tesmonies in court and you can clearly see, that Erik & Lyle are telling the truth. It's heart wrenching to watch them. Yes, they did deserve to go to prison for what they did but for manslaughter and not 1st degree murder. They need to be released. They should have been released long ago.

I promise u it can happen, my mom turned a blind eye.. she thought she had no where to go! No cars no beautiful house, that’s what was important to her to keep us in this beautiful home, to act like it was ok..but it wasn’t ok.. I wish she would have said NO! I’m taking my babies out of this abuse! I watched this series and it was heartbreaking, when you have been abused you know when someone is telling the truth, these guys are honestly telling the horrible truth

I think it’s because of all the backlash he has been getting for the portrayal of Lyle. But as an actor that isn’t his fault because it is the director and writers responsible for his portrayal. It’s very clear the real brothers want nothing to do with Nicolas which I’m sure is very uncomfortable and unfortunate the fact it’s public as well. I think everyone should remember the show isn’t 100% accurate to the real events. Whether that is right or wrong it’s up to everyone else to decide.

I definitely believe the boys were abused and sexual abused by the father. There was witness testimony and other evidence to support that theory. I'm not sure if I believe they were sexually abused by the mother, although it seems plausible given she knew and allowed the father's abuse. I was hoping they would have touched on that more in the series. And, not sure I believe they felt that they were in imminent danger as motive for killing them, or if just general revenge.

Jose Menendez was very likely a serial child rapist. I recommend watching the documentary series called Menendez and Menudo: Boys Betrayed. This will offer you more insight. I recommend reading up on the case, watch the court testimony, read the book by Robert Rand , watch the documentaries and the interviews. This gives a better idea of the full picture. Also not trying to be rude. Just voicing my opinion. ✌️
