Rongai used to be a dispersion area for the animals in the National park on their way to Amboseli and the Maasai Mara. Unfortunately, in 1992,1997,2007, there were disturbances in the Rift valley and most people were displaced from their homes. This is the reason for many unplanned towns like Rongai, Juja etc such sprung up suddenly around Nairobi and Naivasha to host refugees. The area wasn't built up twenty years ago

Westeners don't know the stories a farm girl in Kenya can tell. It is better than cinema. Imagine a girl from the village has experienced 100 years of economical development within 20 years. That is fascinating. I start be asking did you have to fetch water when you were a kid. Try that when you meet a girl that was brought up in a village. You will not regret.
