I love Botswana too but hey we South Africans also built this country too. Be careful of being brainwashed. South Africa, America and even Europe where built using African labour and resources. My uncles were forced to leave Venda to work in Joburg to build the economy of South Africa. If by building you are referring to skilled labour it is not the fault of Black South Africans that we were denied to study Engineeting; Medical sciences and etc. Get informed before you misrepresent South Africa otherwise let's celebrate our sister country, Botswana.
@luthovellem86518 күн бұрын
Botswana has one of the largest Diamond reserves in the world and a population equal to the size of Soweto and less than Joburg. In all fairness the country should be 10 times what it is considering their population relative to the amount of natural reserves present I the country.
@josephshonga17818 күн бұрын
@@rendaninemavhidi1554 You are very right. South Africa was built on the back of black labour. But, in the instance of Botswana, the former colonial master never built anything in Botswana. Remember they even were ruling Bechuanaland from Mafikeng? Botswana was just a recruitment place for cheap labour to work the South African farms and mines. In 1965, at the time of independence, they had to hastily build a new capital, hence Gaborone. Like I said at the start, I also have always argued that South Africa was built by black South Africans and emigrant black regional labour; hence WENELA, an organisation tasked to recruit black labour in the region.

Whether you like it or not Rre Matsepane Basotho, Batlokwa, Bapedi, Batswana come from the same set of people. In South Africa the groups fall under Sotho speaking people. We have the same set of words in different dialect, our languages are interchangeable. That is why you can find your surname Matsepane in all the Sotho (Bantu) structured languages of South Africa.
