I am the "$$$ Are You Crazy??" commenter from the first Coopworx Silos video, definitely a sticker shock reaction. I still think they are over priced, but you make a good argument for buying a quality product once, having it do its job well, ease of use, hopefully durable for years, and peice of mind that one thing will go right. You have done a great job reviewing this product, giving us updates and being honest with your opinion. Thank You

That’s actually one thing I forgot to mention. Since the sunlight can’t hit the water, it doesn’t get all slimy and nasty like you have with those other ones that are transparent. I’ve literally never cleaned this thing!

Thanks for the great reviews. Is the water silo insulated at all? Right now I'm using a Britetap waterer that connects to a 5 gallon water cooler. The water stays nice and cool for the chickens, but it's limited to two nipples. It would be nice to give more of the girls an option to drink at the same time.

It’s pretty thick plastic but I wouldn’t call it insulated. One neat feature is you can purchase a float Valve that hooks to a hose and continuously replenishes the water as they drink it. That’d probably make for pretty cool water through the day

@@pretendfarm Thanks for the reply! I just ordered the 40 lb feed silo, but I think I'm going to wait on the waterer for a bit to see how they do with the cooler for now.

@@jamesorr1200 you’ll love it. It’s a beautiful thing being able to pour the whole bag of feed in and walk away knowing they’re good for the rest of the week
