We stayed in Daswal B & B for 1.2k(it doesn't have lift) .It's very near to main busstop.you can get buget hotels surrounding the madikeri bus stand. You can check for below hotels which are little costlier and family friendly. 1.Le Coorg. 2.Coorg Palace 3.Madikeri hiretage 4.Wood stock resort

We stayed in Daswal B&B Hotel in madikeri for 1.2k per day...it's very near to market and bus stop. So you will have great restaurants near by..Only thing is this hotel doesn't have lift.so if room is in first floor then you can go for this.
